Traffic / Parking Information

General parking is free and a parking pass is not required. Handicap parking is also available for free, with proper handicap parking tags/placards. A limited number of VIP Parking Passes are available for purchase.

This weekend, motorists in and around the Loveland area will be impacted by road closures and additional roadway traffic as the Great Colorado Air Show comes to the Northern Colorado Regional Airport Sept. 20-21.

Entry is not permitted without a ticket. Attendees of the 2025 Great Colorado Air Show can receive event safety information by texting the keyword AIRSHOW25 to 888777.

Road Closures

Boyd Lake Ave. will be closed north of Kendall Parkway to E. County Road 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 and will be closed from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21. Earhart Road will also be closed to anyone who does not have a ticket to the show.

Motorists should not stop/park on I-25, roads that have no parking signs or roads that do not have designated parking lanes. These vehicles may be ticketed and towed.

Heavy Traffic Expected

Heavy traffic and congestion around the airport are expected starting Sept. 19, especially from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 20-21.  Alternate routes are advised throughout the weekend, and motorists are asked to be patient when traveling around the impacted area. Heavy traffic is expected on I-25, Rocky Mountain Ave., Byrd Drive, SW Frontage Road, Crossroads Blvd. and CO Highway 392.    

Getting to the Airshow

Attendees are encouraged to get to the event early to allow enough time to park and enjoy a comfortable experience. As attendees approach the event, they should follow traffic control signs for event access. Bicycles and walk-ups are strongly discouraged due to lack of space, and the event space prevents onsite drop-off and pick-up areas for general cars and rideshares like Uber and Lyft. General parking for the event is free and VIP parking is available for purchase.
